This Key West patch commemorates a squadron detachment to Naval Air Station Key West, Florida — one of the premier tactical training locations in the military, offering expansive overwater operating areas, excellent flying weather, and access to the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center's training ranges. Key West detachments are prized assignments that combine intense tactical training with the legendary liberty of the Florida Keys. For the Ace of Spades, a Key West DET represents the chance to train in a unique environment while carrying forward the oldest and most storied lineage in Marine Corps aviation. The patch that comes from a Key West detachment is the kind of memento that lives on a flight jacket alongside cruise patches and deployment awards — proof that you were there with the oldest squadron in the Corps, training in one of the most beautiful locations in naval aviation.

Perfect For: VMA-231 Ace of Spades Marines past and present, NAS Key West detachment veterans, Marine attack aviation community members, and anyone who trained with the Ace of Spades in the Keys.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0822/1890/9951/files/vma-231-ace-of-spades-key-west-patch_1.jpg?v=1793026951
